What we collect, and when
When you ask for a quote. The form asks for your name, your company if you have one, your phone number, your email address, the type of insurance you are asking about and your message. We use them to understand what you need to insure and to come back to you with a proposal. Where a proposal needs an insurer's terms, we pass the insurer what it needs to price the risk and nothing more.
Automatically. Our servers keep short technical logs — the address a request came from, what was asked for and when — to keep the site working and to stop abuse.
Why we use it
To answer your request and prepare a quotation; to place and administer cover you ask us to arrange; to meet what insurers, the regulator and Kuwaiti law require of us; and to keep this site secure.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Keeping bots out
The quote form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form was filled in by a person rather than a script. Cloudflare receives the technical data it needs for that check and no form content.
Measuring visits with Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are read. It runs only once we have switched it on with a measurement ID; until then, nothing on this site is counted. When it runs, Google Analytics places a cookie in your browser and reports to Google which pages were opened and when, the kind of device and browser used, and a rough location. It does not tell us your name, and we do not join it to anything you type into the form. Google may process that data on its own servers outside Kuwait. You can block it with your browser's settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.
Where it is kept
Your information is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase), in a single region chosen for this service, and our email passes through the company's mail provider. Both are bound to keep it confidential and to use it only to run the service for us.
How long we keep it
- Requests sent through the quote form: two years.
- Records of cover we arrange for you: as long as the insurer and Kuwaiti law require.
- Technical logs: a short period, measured in weeks.
Your choices
Write to info@societaskw.com, or use the quote form on this site, and you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep, or ask us to stop emailing you. We answer within 30 days.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we update this page and the date above changes with it.
